So that’s me 6 weeks post show and I’m super happy with the condition iv managed to hold while letting my weight slowly creep up while keeping all the negative sides away. Such as water retention, excess fat, out of breath etc. this is many to list. And in this rebound phase you really need to take it gradually and progress at a rate where you can control these variables so your health stays in check and you can continue to train optimally and grow. Also allowing the correct foods to be ingested and not over do it on the wrong foods. This has been the best and most controlled I’ve been post show and I can feel the benefits.
I’m hoping to secure a surgery slot soon and have that boxed off at start of 2024 and let recovery take place and then come back fighting fit for next year.
Stay tuned and follow the next part of my journey.
Thank you
Good morning all,
Hope everyone is well.
So another weeks in the books. Week 4 post show and things still going well. 281 pounds and holding condition very well. Our goal was 285-290 in this condition, so slow and steady to win the race at this point. Nothing drastic or fancy needed. Just allow the body to do its thing. Still in a very responsive state where appetite and hunger are still in a very good place. Areas I’m needing to work on Seem to be growing and changing as needed.
Another 4 weeks in this phase and we will run a health phase in to the new year.
Noticed this week more fatigue than normal. Which is my body hitting a fast strength update over the last few weeks and it’s catching up on it. From here it’s going to be a case of a deload soon or taking extra rest days when I feel they are needed. Try manage fatigue the best I can.
Treating this rebound and off-season like a prep is giving me the best results and allowing me to feel the best I have felt
