Hey hey,
SO I am officially on my “healing journey.”

Started my new protocol last week and it’s safe to say there has been a lot of change. As i’ve mentioned in previous entries I have had such a challenging 18 months in terms of my health/physique progression that it was time to make a change. This is obviously not what i wanted to do any very much a last resort but I hope it is going to be the right decision – I have faith anyway.

Recent blood test shows everything in the “normal” ranges as per usual, no change in hormones although menstrual is yet to make a come back.

The approach I am taking right now is to essentially optimise my health with food/supplementation/managing stress (biggest one for me).
I’ve spent so long stressing about my physique/progression mentally and channelling that into my training/expenditure that I’m now having to do the complete opposite.
So my new protocol is as follows:
Steps 8-10k per day. No cardio. No weight training. Only yoga or low intensity exercise 3/4 times per week. I have actually started dancing again as I used to go when I was younger to get more movement in and do something for pure enjoyment.

My diet is again completely different to what i’m used to. My protein intake for the next 2 weeks are going to be the lowest i’ve eaten since I started training when I was 15. The diet is based around the Mediterranean diet/low inflammatory foods that are nutrient dense. I have to drink a gallon of water a day and it goes as follows:
Meal 1- Shake: Berries, Fennel, ginger, Spinach, cucumber, fresh apple juice, flax seed oil, chia seeds, protein powder.
Meal 2- Bone broth, Veg, cup of pomegranate juice
Meal 3- Salmon, Sweet potato, avocado
Meal 4- Shake: as per meal 1
Meal 5- Beef mince, veg, cup of cranberry juice
Meal 6- brazil nuts, cup of coconut water

Not the most appetising diet and generally goes against the grain to what we as bodybuilders do but this is new territory for me and with all the success my coach has I am fully trusting the process.

Will keep you updated with the changes

Hey hey,

So lot’s of change happening over the next few weeks.
If you’ve followed me on socials you will know that losing body fat for me has been an almost impossible task since prep 2021.

I recently lost my menstrual cycle again at a fairly high body fat level – physically my body has had enough and now mentally I have also had enough.

It’s in my nature to keep pushing. I’ve just wanted to get myself to a point where I feel happy/confident in my body but it’s just not happening so now it’s time for me to put my health first.

I’ve actually started working with Vince Pitstick (Nutrition dynamic) who specialise in helping people like myself. So a completely different approach to bodybuilding and very much health focussed. I will be reducing my training and focussing on low tox/minimal inflammatory foods in order to reduce stress and improve my symptoms.

I’ve also had bloods done this week so will be interested to see what they come back with as every other time I have had my bloods done they have always been “normal”

It’s going to be a journey but I’m at the point where I will try anything/do anything to feel like myself again
